"It Was Amazing"
Being a devoted fan of the author and having read his first 3 three novels...I found his latest literary offering Beyond the Castle on the Hill...no less enjoying but even more of an ingenious visionary tapestry via his written words.
In his recent book..the reader is taken on a "Science Fiction"…journey where he imagines a futuristic high school for the creatives arts centered in an uptown urban setting... located in quintessential Harlem, USA.
While at first, all seems normal..but what is really happening within the high schools walls..the reader will find quite hair raising!
Mr. Green is a master of imaginary technological scenarios..that jettison the reader..into a "new world" order many lite years ahead...where "Human Teleportation" is achieve..all the while, where the subjects (i.e. students)…sacrifice themselves..and are forced into altered physical dominance and mind control by protagonist in the story.
Mr. Green is brilliant at his ability to enable your thoughts...to travel to another space and time..where more than what you can imagined is actually achieved. More over..he uses familiar locales in his story lines..that if you are a native New Yorker..you surely will recognize where he chose to set his characters in the story.
Finally, you'll enjoy his "creative nod" to TV's Star Trek genre..while not though a cinematic view; your mind will still be able to discern through his book. Mr. Green's story lines are truly a gift by way of his limitless imagination. While being a unique read...I really enjoyed his book..and recommend it to all.
